A strong agitation is likely to erupt over the water supply problems in Ward 16 of the Pimpri-Chinchwad Municipal Corporation (PCMC). Corporator Aishwarya Taras has warned the municipal administration to resolve these water supply issues by November 1. She stated that if these problems are not addressed, a strong protest will be launched.
Many areas in Ward 16, including Vikas Nagar, Bapdev Nagar, Datt Nagar, Kiwale, Ravet, Walhekarwadi, Gurudwara area, Sainagar, and Mamurdi, are receiving water at low pressure, insufficiently, and irregularly. This is causing significant hardship for residents. Aishwarya Taras has submitted a memorandum to officials of the Water Supply and Electricity Departments, demanding immediate action.
Specifically, Taras has demanded the immediate purchase and installation of an appropriately sized generator at the Ravet Pumping Station (Survey No. 16). This would help maintain a smooth water supply even in the event of a power outage. Aishwarya Taras has warned that if no concrete action is taken by November 1, a sit-in protest will be held in front of the Deputy Engineer's office of the Pimpri-Chinchwad Municipal Corporation's Water Supply Department.
