Verification policy
What each check on a business profile means, how we do it, and what it does not mean.
Every check is separate and dated
We never show a general "verified" badge. Each check names what we looked at, when, and until when it is valid. Checks expire and are removed if we learn they are no longer true. Checks never depend on a paid plan.
Phone confirmed
A PCMC24 staff member reached the business on the listed number. It does not confirm who answered beyond that.
Business details checked
Name and address details were compared with documents the business shared, such as a GST registration looked up on the public GST portal or a Shops & Establishments certificate. A format check of a number is not an official validation.
Reference contacted
With the business’s permission, we spoke to a society or client it named. We record that the conversation happened, not an opinion of the work.
Document checked
We saw a document relevant to the service, for example a PSARA licence for a security agency (including whether it covers Pune district), a pest control licence under the Insecticides Act, or a lift contractor approval. The profile names the document and its validity. It does not mean the business complies with every law or will do good work.
What we never check or claim
- Work quality, pricing fairness or legal compliance.
- Police verification of individual guards or staff (they change over time).
- Safety of chemicals or methods.
- "Government approved" status.
What you should do
- Ask for the original documents and check their validity dates.
- Speak to references yourself.
- Compare at least two quotations for the same scope.
Wrong information?
Use "Report this listing" on the profile. We review reports and may suspend a profile or revoke a check while we look into it.
