Khadki-Chinchwad Railway Crossing to Close for Maintenance

The Pune Division of Central Railway has decided to close Railway Gate No. 62/A at Khadki-Chinchwad for maintenance work. The gate will be closed from October 13 to October 15, 2026, and motorists have been advised to use alternative routes.

The Pune Division of Central Railway has decided to close Railway Gate No. 62/A, located between kilometer 185 and 175 in the Khadki-Chinchwad area, for maintenance and repair work. According to Punekar News, the gate will be closed to traffic from 10:00 AM on October 13, 2026, until 5:00 PM on October 15, 2026. During this period, traffic through the railway gate will be completely halted.

To avoid inconvenience to motorists due to this closure, alternative routes have been provided. The Pune Division of Central Railway has urged motorists to use the nearby Road Under Bridge (RUB) and Road Over Bridge (ROB). These alternative routes are available approximately 500 meters from the railway crossing. Passengers and motorists have been requested to cooperate.

These maintenance and repair works are essential to ensure the safety and smooth operation of the railway line. Punekar News stated that citizens should cooperate with the administration by using alternative routes. It has also been clarified that these works will not affect railway traffic.
