Applicants for the Maharashtra Housing and Area Development Authority (MHADA) housing lottery in Pune and Pimpri-Chinchwad are currently facing technical difficulties. According to Punekar News, glitches in the MahaIT system are preventing applicants from verifying their documents. This issue has stalled the application process, requiring applicants to repeatedly upload their documents.
Due to a malfunction in the MahaIT computer system, barcode verification of crucial documents such as domicile certificates, income tax returns, and income certificates is not functioning. Despite applicants possessing valid documents, the system is not accepting them, making it difficult to complete applications. It has been clarified that the problem lies with the MahaIT system, not the MHADA website.
These technical difficulties are causing significant distress to applicants. Many have reported that even after repeatedly uploading documents, verification is not occurring. MHADA has acknowledged this serious issue and has deployed staff and IT assistants to address applicant complaints.
MHADA has contacted MahaIT, requesting them to resolve the technical problems promptly. MahaIT has assured that the issue will be resolved soon. Over 1 lakh applications have been received for 4,462 tenements under this lottery. Applicants hope that this technical glitch will be resolved as soon as possible, allowing them to complete their applications on time.
