A shocking incident has emerged from the Sangvi area of Pune district. A grandson allegedly stabbed his 60-year-old grandmother to death over a property dispute. The incident occurred on October 10, 2026, around 9:30 AM. This incident has caused a stir in the area.
According to News PCMC, the deceased grandmother has been identified as Mangal Baburao Shingore (60). Her grandson, Omkar Kisan Shingore, attacked her with a knife over a property dispute. The grandmother was found severely injured in the bathroom. She was immediately admitted to Aundh District Hospital, but doctors declared her dead.
Following the incident, the accused, Omkar Kisan Shingore, surrendered himself at Sangvi Police Station and confessed to the crime. Pune Police have taken serious note of the matter. Upon receiving information about the incident, Senior Police Inspector Sandeep Atole, Police Inspector (Crime) Manisha Kadam, Assistant Police Inspector Jitendra Koli, Assistant Police Inspector Amol Nandekar, Police Sub-Inspector Narayan Patil, Police Sub-Inspector Mahadev Bhalerao, and Police Constable Nagnath Jawale from Sangvi Police Station visited the crime scene. They inspected the area and commenced their investigation.
This incident has created an atmosphere of fear in the area, and the police are conducting further investigations. This incident, stemming from a property dispute, has once again highlighted the tensions within family relationships.
