Pimpri-Chinchwad city hosted a range of activities on Tuesday. Among these was the unveiling of a portrait of the late Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar at the main entrance of the Pimpri-Chinchwad Municipal Corporation (PCMC) headquarters. The portrait was installed on January 31, 2026, following a request made by MLA Mahesh Landge to the PCMC administration. The PCMC's Civil Engineering Department completed the work. Pramod Ombase, Chief Engineer-1 of the Civil Engineering Department, informed MLA Mahesh Landge about this action via a letter. This initiative pays tribute to Ajit Pawar's contributions to the development of Pimpri-Chinchwad, Pune district, and Maharashtra, particularly in road widening and infrastructure development.

On the same day, MIT Art, Design and Technology University (MIT ADT University) organized 'Nashamukt Yuva', a drug de-addiction awareness program. Held under the 'Viksit Bharat Sankalp Abhiyan', the program educated young people about the harmful effects of addiction. Assistant Commissioner of Police Anuradha Udamle advised students to focus on their studies and avoid mistakes that could negatively impact their future.

Additionally, the film 'Prahar: The Untold Story of Ujjwal Nikam', based on the life of special public prosecutor Ujjwal Nikam, was promoted in Pune. The promotion reportedly received a good response. Actor Rajkummar Rao stated that portraying Ujjwal Nikam was a significant and proud moment in his career. Ujjwal Nikam also praised Rajkummar Rao's acting.

Other events in the city included a discussion session titled 'Mi… Majha Pravas' at PCCOE, and an agreement signed with Mpower to launch 24-hour mental health services for NDRF personnel. A poetry session by Vaibhav Joshi, 'The Manmauji', was also organized.
