To strengthen the party organization, ward-wise interviews of interested workers in the city were conducted in June 2026. Workers were reportedly selected based on criteria such as organizational skills, active involvement in the party, contribution to social work, and participation in party programs.
City president Chetan Pawar stated that rather than those merely seeking a post, efforts are being made to include grassroots workers capable of expanding the organization in the executive committee. During the Ganeshotsav period, the local situation was also reviewed by meeting workers across various wards.
On Monday (September 21), the list was handed over to MP Sanjay Raut in Mumbai. Pawar said the city executive committee will be announced soon after receiving final approval from the party's senior leadership.
Party workers and the city's political circles are keeping a close watch on who secures a place in the new executive committee.
