According to PuneKar News, residents of Bhosari, Dehu, Yelwadi, and surrounding areas are severely affected by prolonged power outages. The disruption, lasting 8 to 14 hours in these areas, has severely impacted daily life.
These continuous power supply interruptions have not only affected domestic users but have also brought local businesses, students' education, and agricultural work to a halt. With rising temperatures in October, citizens are facing significant difficulties due to the lack of electricity. Those observing Navratri fasts are also being impacted. Residents are also troubled by fluctuations in power supply and low voltage issues. Agricultural work has stopped as farm pumps are not receiving electricity.
If immediate measures are not taken to address this serious issue, the Talgaon-Chakan Highway Action Committee has warned of a 'Rasta Roko' (road blockade) protest on Friday, October 15, 2026. Nitin Gade of the committee has submitted a memorandum to the Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution Company Limited (MSEDCL) regarding this matter.
The Action Committee has demanded immediate technical solutions to regularize the power supply. Additionally, they have requested that a fixed schedule for planned maintenance be prepared and advance notice be provided. Copies of this memorandum have also been sent to the Chief Minister, Deputy Chief Minister, local MLA, revenue officials, and the police.
