Kaushik Ravi Mulya (21) and his sister Rishita Ravi Mulya (17) from Bhosari tragically died in a two-wheeler accident on the Old Pune-Mumbai Highway, near Hotel Poona Gate, according to News PCMC. The accident occurred as they were returning home after visiting Ghorawadeshwar Temple. Their two-wheeler was hit from behind by another speeding two-wheeler, News PCMC reported.
Both were seriously injured in the accident and admitted to YCM Hospital. Kaushik succumbed to his injuries during treatment on Sunday, October 11, night, while Rishita passed away on Monday, October 12. Kaushik was a second-year student at a private college in Akurdi, and Rishita was studying in the eleventh standard. Their father, Ravi Mulya, is a well-known tailor in Bhosari.
The accident took place around 9 PM. Dehuroad Police have seized the two-wheeler that caused the accident. Police are currently searching for the rider of the other two-wheeler. News PCMC stated that police are checking hospitals, suspecting that the rider may also have been injured in the accident.
