A 38-year-old labourer was injured after being hit on the head with a stone during an argument over a minor issue in the Gawalimatha area of Bhosari. The MIDC Bhosari police have registered a case against an approximately 40-year-old man in connection with the incident.
According to the police, the complainant and the suspect were sitting and chatting near a scrap shop opposite the garbage depot between 11 pm and 12 midnight on September 25. During this time, an argument broke out between the two over a minor issue, which escalated into a fight.
In a fit of rage, the suspect picked up a nearby stone and hit the complainant on the head, the complaint states. The complainant sustained head injuries in the attack, after which he lodged a police complaint.
A case has been registered under Section 118 (1) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, and Police Sub-Inspector Khadse is conducting further investigation.
