The case was registered at the MIDC Bhosari police station on April 3, 2026. Police Sub-Inspector Chaitrali Bhise conducted the investigation and filed the chargesheet in court in just 30 days.
The prosecution requested a fast-track trial, which the court accepted. After the hearings concluded, the court convicted the accused on September 22.
The court sentenced the convict to 20 years of imprisonment and a fine of Rs 10,000 each under BNS sections 64(1) and 65(2), as well as 20 years of imprisonment each under sections 4 and 6 of the POCSO Act. Imprisonment and fines were also awarded under other sections.
