Citizens who arrived for last rites at the Chinchwad crematorium faced significant difficulties due to a power outage. In the darkness, those present for the cremation had to use the headlights of four-wheelers to perform the last rites, according to Shabnam News.
During the incident, the security guard appointed by the Pimpri-Chinchwad Municipal Corporation was also not present at the crematorium, further adding to the citizens' problems. Local Corporator Sangeeta alias Nani Prabhakar Tambane has expressed strong anger over this situation. She has questioned the functioning of the Municipal Corporation's administration.

She has also directed that the power supply issue at the crematorium be permanently resolved and that the appointed security guard ensures regular presence.
