The Pimpri-Chinchwad Municipal Corporation (PCMC) on October 9, 2026, razed five unauthorized constructions in the F Ward area of Chinchwad. This action was carried out under the guidance of Municipal Commissioner Dr. Vijay Suryawanshi and Additional Commissioner Trupti Sandbhor, as reported by News PCMC.
Atul Patil, officer and Assistant Commissioner of the F Ward Office, led the operation. He was accompanied by various municipal officers and staff, including Hemant Ghod, Sainath Desai, Prafull Bhokare, Aishwarya Masal, and Suraj Mane. Approximately 1200 square meters of land occupied by illegal structures were cleared during this drive.
To maintain peace and order, 6 anti-encroachment police personnel and 50 Maharashtra Security Force jawans were deployed. Additionally, 2 municipal workers and 10 contractual laborers participated directly in the demolition work. This incident highlights the Municipal Corporation's continued stringent action against unauthorized constructions.
