According to Nadhe's complaint, the photography and videography work in the public relations department was awarded to a private agency for one year. After the term expired, the then commissioner had directed on March 3, 2021, to float a new tender and not to grant an extension.
However, the new tender process was not completed on time and the work was continued by the old agency, Nadhe has alleged. The complaint also states that even after two agencies expressed their inability to pay the security deposit in 2021, the tender process was not expedited.
Nadhe pointed out that the municipal corporation's chief audit department had raised 20 objections on September 2, 2024, regarding a tender worth about Rs 22 crore related to this matter.
He has demanded an independent inquiry into the decisions regarding the tender, the duration of the work, the expenditure, and the audit objections to bring the facts to light. The municipal administration's response to these allegations is not yet available.
