As a large number of immersions will take place in the city on the last day of Ganeshotsav, the police commissionerate has planned security arrangements along procession routes, immersion ghats, and crowded places.
For security, 2 Additional Commissioners of Police, 8 Deputy Commissioners of Police, 16 Assistant Commissioners of Police, 74 Police Inspectors, 290 Assistant Inspectors and Sub-Inspectors, 2,780 police personnel, 6 RCP squads, 602 Home Guards, 2 MRPF platoons, and 166 wardens have been deployed.
Squads have been deployed at various locations to ensure that the immersion processions pass off smoothly and the safety of citizens is maintained.
The commissionerate stated that the police machinery is fully prepared to ensure that Ganeshotsav concludes peacefully and in a joyous atmosphere.
