A theft has taken place at the Haldiram's store located in Spot 18 Mall near Jagtap Dairy in Pimple Saudagar. An unidentified thief broke the lock of the store's delivery window, gained entry, and stole the safe along with the cash inside.
According to the police, the theft occurred between 2 am and 9 am on September 26. The safe contained Rs 18,300 in cash. Including the value of the safe, which is estimated at Rs 10,000, valuables collectively worth Rs 28,300 were stolen, the complaint states.
Based on a complaint filed by a store employee, a case has been registered against the unidentified thief at the Kalewadi police station under sections 331 (2) and 305 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS). A search is underway for the thief based on CCTV footage from the area and other technical evidence.
Assistant Police Inspector Chavan is conducting further investigation.
