A cloth bag painting competition was organized at Baburaoji Gholap Secondary and Higher Secondary School in Sangvi on October 11, 2026, News PCMC reported. A total of 160 students from 5th to 9th standard enthusiastically participated in this competition.
The main objective of this competition was to create environmental awareness, instill the concept of a plastic-free India, and disseminate the message of 'Swachh Bharat, Sundar Bharat'. The 'Being Volunteer' organization collaborated on this initiative. They provided all participating students with cloth bags and necessary art supplies free of charge.
Members of the Pune District Education Board, along with the school's headmaster, teachers, and non-teaching staff, were present on the occasion. This included Neelam Nagul, Manasi Gokhale, Shamal Koli, Manisha Sawant, Anjali Deshmukh, Indrayani Shonge, Janhavi Dawande, Ajinath Ogale, Megha Pote, and Chandrashekhar Waghmare. Students effectively conveyed the message of environmental protection through their artwork.
