The Pimpri-Chinchwad Municipal Corporation (PCMC) recently celebrated its 44th Foundation Day. On this occasion, tributes were paid to former Mayor Annasaheb Magar, who is considered the architect of the city's development. A wreath was laid at the statue of Annasaheb Magar in the premises of the PCMC's main administrative building. According to 'Shabnam News', Leader of Opposition Bhausaheb Bhoir garlanded the statue of Annasaheb Magar.
According to 'News PCMC', Abhishek Barne, Chairman of the Pimpri-Chinchwad Municipal Corporation Standing Committee, stated that Annasaheb Magar laid the foundation for Pimpri-Chinchwad's development, while Loknete Laxmanbhau Jagtap further accelerated this development. This gave the industrial city a distinct identity in the cultural, educational, and sports sectors. Barne made these remarks while paying tribute to Annasaheb Magar on the occasion of the PCMC's Foundation Day. He emphasized the importance of drawing inspiration from these leaders to provide excellent facilities to citizens and for the city's progress. He also called for collective efforts to make Pimpri-Chinchwad more beautiful and advanced.
According to 'Shabnam News', the PCMC has achieved significant milestones in industry, education, health, transport, and civic amenities over its 44-year journey. Due to Annasaheb Magar's foresight, the city has achieved a leading position in industrial development, civic amenities, and modern infrastructure. The event was attended by the Municipal Commissioner, various departmental liaison officers, project officers, and other dignitaries. It was also noted on this occasion that collective efforts are needed to make Pimpri-Chinchwad a clean, beautiful, eco-friendly, and modern city in the future.
