Pimpri-Chinchwad Municipal Corporation (PCMC) Commissioner Dr. Vijay Suryawanshi is on a visit to South Korea for a conference related to water management. He departed on October 3 and will participate in the conference on October 7, 2026. The conference is being held in Seoul, and he will be participating in the 'Digital Water Accelerator Program'. News PCMC reported that this program will feature in-depth discussions on the use of Artificial Intelligence (AI), Big Data, and digital technology in water management.
In the absence of Commissioner Dr. Vijay Suryawanshi, Additional Commissioner Kuldeep Jangam has been given the additional charge of the Municipal Commissioner's post. He will hold this charge until October 11. During this period, Kuldeep Jangam will handle important matters related to political protocol and emergency management. However, News PCMC clarified that he is not authorized to make any policy decisions.
It is expected that this visit will help Pimpri-Chinchwad city gain knowledge about modern technology in water management. This international conference is anticipated to bring improvements to the city's water supply and management system.
