The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) organised various community-oriented programs in Pimpri-Chinchwad on October 5, 2026. These programs were part of a world record Dhol-Tasha tribute ceremony for the 'Hindubhushan Statue' of Dharmaveer Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj, according to News PCMC.
These initiatives included a collective pledge for an 'Addiction-Free India', blood donation camps, health check-up camps, cow protection awareness, and a 'Bharat Mata' rangoli. Thousands of musicians and citizens participated in these events, which commenced on October 4.
During the events, a mass rendition of 'Vande Mataram' was performed, along with a collective playing of 111 conch shells. BJP leaders Mahesh Landge, Vikas Dolas, and Sanjay Patni participated in these programs. The main objective behind these initiatives was to keep youth away from addictions, increase health awareness among citizens, and strengthen the spirit of social service, News PCMC reported.
