Architects and licensed engineers have expressed strong dissatisfaction with the working procedures of the Pimpri-Chinchwad Municipal Corporation's (PCMC) Building Permission Department. They allege significant delays in building permissions, No-Objection Certificates (NOCs), and other approval processes. In this regard, the Creative Forum-Architects and Licensed Engineers Association has submitted a memorandum to the Municipal Commissioner.

According to News PCMC, the memorandum demands administrative reforms, including the implementation of a single-window system. They have also requested fixed timelines for processes in various departments such as town planning, water supply, drainage, garden, and fire. They expect online availability of information regarding the status of each stage of an application, along with dates and responsible officers.

Previously, the organization, led by Rahul Kalbhor and Hrishikesh Deore, had submitted four memorandums, but no satisfactory action was taken. Therefore, they have warned of a democratic and peaceful agitation if a meeting to discuss their demands is not held within seven days. The organization has clarified that if their demands are not met, the agitation will commence on October 5, 2026.
