The Shivshahi Pratishthan Maharashtra State said the objective behind this demand is to ensure students learn about Sambhaji Maharaj's bravery, scholarship, administration, literary contributions, sacrifice, and role in protecting Swarajya at a school-going age.
In its memorandum to Balbharati, the Pratishthan has demanded the publication of a separate textbook for students of Class 5 and above. It also suggested that the curriculum should be based on historical evidence and include illustrations, timelines, and supplementary information to simplify the subject.
Office-bearers of the Pratishthan also met and held discussions with Shiv-orator and history scholar Nitin Bangude Patil regarding the issue.
The Pratishthan's founder president Raj Jadhav and state working president Atharva Taware stated that they will continue to follow up on this demand. All eyes are now on Balbharati's decision regarding the memorandum.
