The Pimpri Chinchwad Municipal Corporation (PCMC) organized various programs from October 3 to October 9 as part of 'Abhijat Marathi Bhasha Saptah'. As part of this week, a group dance competition for students from PCMC schools was held in the small auditorium of G. D. Madgulkar Natyagruha in Akurdi.
The main objective of this competition was to promote Marathi language, literature, art, and culture among students and citizens. According to information provided by the Pimpri Chinchwad Municipal Corporation, students presented various dance forms showcasing Marathi culture, folk art, and traditions in this competition.
Schools that participated in the competition included Municipal School No. 903 from Punawale, English Medium Primary School from Bhosari, Lokshahir Annabhau Sathe Primary School from Sant Tukaramnagar, Mahatma Jyotiba Phule Primary School from Bhosari, Yashwantrao Chavan Girls Primary School from Thergaon, Yashwantrao Chavan Primary School, and Punawale Primary School from Morwadi.
Students captivated the audience by performing dances based on various themes such as 'Gondhal-Kirtanacha Sohala Anandacha', 'Aale Marathe', 'Aai Ga Tuzya Charni', 'Jijaucha Lekhi', 'Shala Marathi', and 'Gaurav Shabdkalecha, Gaurav Lokkalecha'. Dr. Vijay Suryawanshi, Vikrant Bagade, Kiran Gaikwad, and Praful Puranik participated in this program.
