Pimpri-Chinchwad Crime Branch Unit-4 has arrested a notorious criminal who had been absconding for the past four years in connection with serious crimes. According to News PCMC, the 41-year-old accused, a resident of Maval, faces 13 serious charges. These include MCOCA, attempted murder, extortion, kidnapping, assault, use of firearms, conspiracy to rob jewelers, attempted dacoity, and ganja peddling.
Police had been searching for the accused for the past four years. He was a significant source of terror in the Talegaon Dabhade and Maval areas. Based on technical analysis and information from confidential sources, the police located him in Jambhulgaon. Police set a trap and took him into custody.
The arrested accused has been handed over to Utter Mahalunge Police Station for further action. News PCMC stated that this action would help curb crime in the area.
