As the population of Pimpri-Chinchwad city grows, the number of citizens seeking treatment in municipal hospitals is also increasing. Against this backdrop, Pravin Pinjan, President of the NCP Bhosari Assembly Seva Dal, submitted a memorandum to the Municipal Commissioner on October 8, 2026. In this memorandum, he demanded that health facilities in all Pimpri-Chinchwad Municipal Corporation hospitals be made more efficient, accessible, and timely, according to News PCMC.

Pinjan specifically suggested measures to reduce the burden on Yashwantrao Chavan Memorial Hospital (YCM Hospital). According to his demand, it is necessary to increase the number of ICU and critical care beds, provide 24-hour emergency and trauma care facilities, and increase the number of doctors, nurses, and technical staff. He also demanded the implementation of an effective appointment/token system and digital queue management for the Outpatient Department (OPD).

Pinjan also demanded that diagnostic tests such as X-rays, sonography, CT scans, MRIs, and pathology tests should be available in a timely manner, there should be a regular stock of medicines, and ambulance, blood bank, and operation theatre facilities should be strengthened. He also suggested that priority help desks should be available for senior citizens, disabled persons, pregnant women, and critically ill patients.

Additionally, there is a demand to increase the capacity of local hospitals and health centers in Talawade, Chikhli, Moshi, and Bhosari, and to expand specialist OPD and emergency facilities in other hospitals. Pravin Pinjan has demanded that citizens should be able to access information about available health facilities online and that a 'Citizen Health Facilities Improvement Plan' should be prepared and implemented in a timely manner.
