The Ravet and Tathawade underpasses on the Mumbai-Bengaluru Highway will be closed for repair and concreting work, as reported by Punekar News. This decision has been made by the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI). Heavy rains had caused significant damage to the service roads and underpasses. Numerous potholes were noted in these underpasses.
The concreting work has been initiated with the aim of improving road conditions and creating more robust and durable roads. Punekar News stated that this work will help enhance the quality of the roads.
Due to this work, certain traffic diversions have been implemented. The service road from Pavana River to the Ravet underpass, heading towards Mumbai, will be closed. Additionally, the road under the Tathawade underpass leading towards Satara and the road in front of JSPM College will also be closed. Motorists have been urged to use alternative routes.
Commuters may face some inconvenience for a period due to these repair works, but in the long run, it will help improve road conditions. The National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) plans to commence this work on September 28, 2026, Punekar News noted.
