As soon as information about the fire was received, local corporator Anita Kate contacted the fire brigade. A fire brigade team reached the spot shortly after and began efforts to bring the blaze under control.
2 young girls trapped in the society during the fire were successfully rescued. A major tragedy was averted due to the coordination between the fire brigade, local citizens, and other agencies.
Chinchwad MLA Shankar Jagtap also visited the spot to inspect the situation and gathered information from the officials. The concerned department is investigating the cause of the fire.
Corporator Kate appealed that fire safety measures in residential buildings should be checked regularly and urged citizens to immediately contact the authorities in case of an emergency.
