The municipal corporation had provided official vehicles to Mayor Ravi Landge, Deputy Mayor Sharmila Babar, Standing Committee Chairman Abhishek Barne, Ruling Party Leader Prashant Shitole, Leader of Opposition Bhausaheb Bhoir, ward chairpersons, and subject committee chairpersons.
The official vehicles used by these office-bearers are now being surrendered to the administration. Meanwhile, office-bearers using private vehicles have been instructed to cover any party symbols or political boards on them.
The process of covering nameplates on the cabins of office-bearers, portraits of political figures, and party symbols inside the municipal corporation building has also begun.
Municipal Secretary Mukesh Kolap stated that necessary instructions have been issued to all departments to ensure strict adherence to the code of conduct.
