An architect was allegedly abducted and assaulted in Ravet, Pimpri-Chinchwad, following delays in a land development agreement. The accused reportedly forced the architect to sign a blank HDFC Bank cheque, according to News PCMC. Ravet police have registered a case against three individuals in connection with the incident and have arrested one accused.
According to information received, Suraj Nathaji Patil (31), an architect, was mediating a development agreement between a landowner and Shivkant Tiwari. Due to delays in finalizing this agreement, the accused summoned Patil to Kannu Ki Chai Restaurant in Ravet on September 29, 2026. Upon his arrival, the accused forcibly made him sit in a Toyota Hyryder car.
While in the car, the accused Shivkant Tiwari, Musa Gaus Shaikh, and Tiwari's driver allegedly assaulted Architect Patil. They then forced Patil to sign a blank HDFC Bank cheque. Following the incident, Patil was released in Vishrantwadi, Pune, on October 1, 2026. A Police Sub-Inspector is conducting further investigation into the matter. Ravet police have taken serious note of the incident and are searching for the remaining accused.
