According to News PCMC, Santosh Gopichand Bandapatte, Dinesh Adinath Shende, and a 33-year-old woman are accused in the fraud. The complainant, aged 43, invested in the share market as per the accused's instructions between June 1, 2020, and September 28, 2026. The accused had assured him of significant returns on his investments.

The victim invested ₹1.84 crore through cash and online transactions. However, he neither received the promised returns nor his original investment back. Realizing he had been defrauded, he filed a complaint with the Kalewadi police. The police have initiated an investigation into the matter.
