The Maharashtra Housing and Area Development Authority (MHADA) has received an overwhelming response for its lottery of 4,462 homes across Pune, Pimpri-Chinchwad, and the Pune Metropolitan Region Development Authority (PMRDA) areas. According to information provided by Punekar News, MHADA has received 97,701 applications for these units. Of these, 52,276 applicants have paid the Earnest Money Deposit (EMD), with 1.62 crore rupees collected to date.

Due to delays in the online document verification process, the final deadline for submitting applications and the EMD has been extended. Applicants can now pay the EMD online until 11:59 PM on October 15, while the deadline for payments via RTGS or NEFT is 3:00 PM on October 16. The previous deadline was October 3, 2026.

This lottery includes 1,491 units under the Social Housing Scheme and 2,971 units under the Inclusive Housing Scheme. Of the total homes, 1,468 are located within the Pune Municipal Corporation area, and 1,406 are in the Pimpri-Chinchwad Municipal Corporation area. According to the schedule released by MHADA, the provisional list of accepted applications will be published on November 12 at 7:00 PM. Claims and objections regarding this list will be accepted until 5:00 PM on November 14. The final list of accepted applications will be announced on November 20 at 7:00 PM. Rahul Sakore stated that the lottery draw will be held on November 26 at 11:00 AM, and the names of successful applicants will be declared at 6:00 PM on the same day.
