MLA Amit Gorkhe was on his way to participate in a mega march organized in Nashik in support of the sub-categorization of reservations. While in Nashik, his vehicle collided with another vehicle.
Along with Gorkhe, the vehicle was carrying some party workers, the driver, and 2 bodyguards. Following the accident, a brief atmosphere of confusion prevailed at the spot.
Gorkhe himself clarified that he sustained a minor neck injury in the crash and immediately received first aid. He stated that his condition is completely stable and that the driver, security guards, and other co-passengers are also safe.
Gorkhe has been consistently advocating for the implementation of sub-categorization within Scheduled Caste reservations. The accident, which occurred while he was en route to the march, sparked concern among party workers.
