Bhosari assembly constituency BJP MLA Mahesh Landge paid a goodwill visit to senior social activist and Padma Bhushan awardee Anna Hazare at Ralegan Siddhi. During the meeting at Hazare's ashram school, Landge inquired about his health and discussed various social and developmental issues.
The Landge family and Hazare share old ties. MLA Landge's father, Vastad Kisanrao Landge, and Anna Hazare have been friends for many years, and Kisanrao Landge frequently visits Ralegan Siddhi. It was stated that old memories of both families were revived during this visit.
The 'Statue of Hindubhushan' project to erect a full-length statue of Dharmaveer Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj in Pimpri-Chinchwad has been proposed on the initiative of MLA Landge. It has been claimed that this will be the tallest full-length statue in the world. Landge briefed Hazare on the concept of the project, the ongoing work, and the historical significance of the memorial.
According to a press release, Hazare appreciated the construction of this memorial, which will convey the bravery and sacrifice of Sambhaji Maharaj to the new generation. He also advised Landge to maintain consistency in work related to social and national interests.
MLA Landge expressed that Hazare's work for rural development, de-addiction, transparent administration, and anti-corruption public awareness is a guiding light, and meeting him has provided new energy for public welfare work.
