Thousands of dhol-tasha drummers will converge in Moshi, Pimpri-Chinchwad, on October 4, 2026, to pay homage to the 'Hindubhushan' statue of Dharmaveer Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj. This grand event is being organized by the Hindubhushan Smarak Trust and the Dhol-Tasha Mahasangh, Maharashtra Rajya. The primary objective of this program is to establish a world record for the largest dhol-tasha performance, as reported by News PCMC.
The event will be held at the Dharmaveer Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj International Exhibition Centre in Bhordewadi, Moshi. More than 5,000 dhol drummers have already registered for this program. Additionally, a 128-meter-tall Bhagwa Dhwaj, currently being erected in Pimpri-Chinchwad, will also receive a tribute during the ceremony.
A press conference was held on September 30, 2026, to provide information about the event. Attendees included Parag Thakur, President of the Hindubhushan Smarak Trust; Akshay Balkawade, President of the Dhol-Tasha Mahasangh, Maharashtra Rajya; along with Vishal Mankar, Ganesh Maharaj Bhujbal, Prashant Waikar, and other officials. Through this event, efforts are being made to preserve the tradition of dhol-tasha drumming and to honor the legacy of Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj.
