According to the police, the victim was a 35-year-old man, originally from Beed and currently residing in Dattanagar, Chinchwad. He was intercepted in an open space near a garbage dumping spot opposite the Kaverinagar vegetable market.
The complaint states that he was brutally beaten over allegations of harassing the suspects' sister. He died after sustaining severe injuries to his face, neck, and other parts of his body during the assault.
A retired individual from Moshi lodged a complaint regarding the incident at the Wakad police station. Following this, the police arrested three men, aged 23, 26, and 39, who are residents of Thergaon.
Further investigation is underway under the guidance of an Assistant Police Inspector, and the exact sequence of events will become clear as the probe progresses. The arrested individuals remain suspects until proven guilty in court.
