A 20-year-old man died in a tragic accident near Solitaire Society, Pink City Road, Wakad. The youth was travelling on the roof of a tempo when he fell after the vehicle collided with a pillar in an underpass. According to the police, the accident was caused by the tempo driver's negligence and high-speed driving.

According to News PCMC, the deceased has been identified as Rishi Dhananjay Kudale (20). The accident occurred on October 6, at approximately 2:15 PM. Rishi Kudale was travelling on the roof of a tempo (MH 12 PQ 50) owned by Dhananjay Srinivas Kudale. Police stated that the tempo driver, Tushar Jyotiram Mane (22), was aware that Rishi was seated on the tempo's roof.

While passing through an underpass, tempo driver Tushar Mane drove the tempo at high speed and negligently. As a result, the tempo struck a pillar in the underpass, causing Rishi Kudale to fall from the roof. Rishi sustained severe head injuries in the accident. He was immediately admitted to the hospital, but he succumbed to his injuries during treatment on October 7, 2026.

A case has been registered against tempo driver Tushar Jyotiram Mane at the Wakad Police Station. Police Sub-Inspectors Ghuge and Shirsath are conducting further investigations. Police have arrested Tushar Mane.
