While assisting devotees during the immersion, volunteers spread the message of an eco-friendly festival and carried out the task of collecting nirmalya at the ghats.
Committee head SPO Vishal Shewale, along with several male and female volunteers, took charge of the nirmalya collection.
Deputy Commissioner of Police Shweta Khedkar and Deputy Commissioner of Police (Traffic) Vikrant Deshmukh had provided special guidance to the volunteers regarding the immersion bandobast this year. Local police inspectors also gave them instructions.
Committee President Dr. Vijaykumar Patil stated that for the past 24 years, the committee's volunteers have been assisting devotees and the police administration every year. He noted that volunteers took a special initiative this year to keep the Ganesh Talav area in Pradhikaran clean.
