On the 93rd birth anniversary of late MLA Annasaheb Patil, who fought for the rights of Mathadi workers, the Shiv Sena-affiliated Maharashtra Mazdoor Sanghatana paid tributes by garlanding his statue at KSB Chowk in Chinchwad.

Annasaheb Patil waged a major struggle for the rights of Mathadi workers, said Irfan Sayyad. He added that Patil fought continuously to ensure social dignity for the workers' labour and legal protection for their rights.

The labour movement he built remains an inspiration for the working class even today. Preserving his thoughts and continuing the struggle for workers' issues would be a true tribute to him, Sayyad said.

A resolve was made on the occasion to work unitedly on the problems of Mathadi workers, the protection of their rights, and issues of labour welfare. The attendees noted that Annasaheb's movement was a fight for the just rights of the entire working class.

Pimpri-Chinchwad city and Pune district president Hanumant Tarde, district organizer Pradip Dhamankar, along with other office-bearers, mukadams of various Mathadi groups, and workers were present at the event.
