Padmashri Pandit Hridaynath Mangeshkar was felicitated at the inauguration of 'Abhijat Marathi Bhasha Sanman Din' and 'Abhijat Marathi Bhasha Saptah' (Classical Marathi Language Honour Day and Week) organized by the Pimpri-Chinchwad Municipal Corporation (PCMC) on October 03, 2026. Speaking at the event, Pandit Hridaynath Mangeshkar presented an important opinion regarding the classical status of the Marathi language. He clarified that the Marathi language of Dnyaneshwari is already classical and does not need a separate status.
The event was jointly organized by the Pimpri-Chinchwad Municipal Corporation and the Pune Shramik Patrakar Sangh. During the program, a photo exhibition, organized in collaboration with the Pune Shramik Patrakar Sangh, was also inaugurated by Pandit Hridaynath Mangeshkar. This photo exhibition will be open to the public from October 03, 2026, to October 09, 2026, at the art gallery of the Ramkrishna More Auditorium in Chinchwad.
Many dignitaries, including Bharati Mangeshkar, Savani Ravindra, Vikrant Bagade, Kiran Gaikwad, and Rajendra Patil, were present on the occasion. The Pimpri-Chinchwad Municipal Corporation organized this special program for the preservation and glory of the Marathi language.
