The 'Classical Marathi Language Week' organized by the Pimpri-Chinchwad Municipal Corporation (PCMC) concluded with a special musical program titled 'Gaani Mangeshkaranchi' at the Prof. Ramkrishna More Auditorium in Chinchwad. The week was observed from October 3 to 9, 2026, with the primary objective of preserving, promoting, and disseminating the Marathi language.
During the program, Pandit Hridaynath Mangeshkar presented popular songs from his own compositions. He shared with the audience stories behind the creation of these songs and his memories of working with Lata Mangeshkar and Asha Bhosle. He also provided insights into the creative process behind the lyrics of Shanta Shelke and Suresh Bhat.
Vibhavari Apte-Joshi performed vocals at the event, accompanied by tabla, rhythm, flute, and synthesizer. Kedar Paranjape was responsible for the musical arrangement.
The event was graced by the presence of dignitaries including Dr. Vijay Suryawanshi, Vikrant Bagade, Kiran Gaikwad, Dr. Rajendra Durkar, Vikram Bhat, Ajay Atre, Amar Oak, Darshana Jog, Bharati Mangeshkar, and Savani Ravindra. According to Shabnam News, the 'Gaani Mangeshkaranchi' program provided an unforgettable musical experience for the audience.
