Thergaon, Pimpri-Chinchwad: On October 4, 2026, students and professors from Indira University (Pune)'s School of Liberal Arts visited the public relations office of Pimpri-Chinchwad Municipal Corporation Standing Committee Chairman Abhishek Barne in Thergaon. This visit was part of the students' academic curriculum.
During the visit, Abhishek Barne provided detailed guidance to the students on the functioning of local self-governing bodies, civic administration, citizens' issues, and the working methods of public representatives. He urged the youth to actively participate in the democratic process and emphasized the importance of voting. The Special Summary Revision (SSR) process for voter lists and the role of local self-governing bodies and public representatives in resolving citizens' issues were also discussed.
