The Ghar Bachao Samiti has filed legal objections against the HCMT/R (High Capacity Mass Transit/Road) reservations included in the Pimpri-Chinchwad Municipal Corporation's (PCMC) second revised draft development plan. According to the committee, it is inappropriate to include reservations from the old development plan in the new one without first verifying their validity.
The committee has questioned whether reservations in maps prepared after 1982-1986 had the necessary legal approvals, and whether the process for reservations published in the gazette on January 13, 1995, was completed according to regulations. The committee claims that alleged discrepancies from the 1995 gazette are evident in the second revised draft development plan published on May 14, 2025.
The Ghar Bachao Samiti has demanded that the legal validity of old reservations be verified in accordance with the provisions of the Maharashtra Regional and Town Planning Act, 1966. Furthermore, the committee has requested that any reservations found to be irregular be removed from the draft development plan. These objections have been submitted to Town Planner and Deputy Director Anupama Kulkarni.
