Chinchwad police have registered a case and issued notices to 3 individuals for playing a high-capacity DJ and Dolby sound system on the internal road opposite Runwal Gate in Anandnagar, Chinchwad, defying the ban during Ganeshotsav.

As per an order issued by the Pimpri-Chinchwad Police Commissionerate on September 14, the use of high-capacity DJs, Dolby sound systems, laser lights, and noise-polluting equipment in public places is banned during the Ganeshotsav period.

Despite this, police found a high-capacity sound system being used on an internal road in Anandnagar. Action was taken against 3 individuals in this connection, including the owner, manager, and supervisor of the sound system.

Based on a complaint lodged by a police constable, a case of breach of public peace was registered at the Chinchwad police station on the night of September 24, and notices were served to the 3 individuals.

Further investigation is underway under the guidance of an Assistant Police Inspector and a woman Police Sub-Inspector.
