The graduation ceremony for architecture students was recently held at the S. B. Patil College of Architecture and Design, Akurdi, under the Pimpri Chinchwad Education Trust. Senior Architect Girish Doshi provided valuable guidance to the students during the ceremony. He stated that architecture is not merely construction, but a symbol of sensitivity, creativity, and emotion.
Doshi shared experiences from his four-decade-long journey in the field of architecture. He also showed rare photographs of his work to the students. He advised students not to fear failure, but to achieve success and happiness through faith, patience, and practice. He emphasized the importance of considering factors such as location, sunlight, gardens, and design when constructing a building. Doshi also noted that ferro-cement has brought diversity to the field of architecture.
During the event, Architect Gaurav Bhangare advised the graduating students to work with an experienced architect for at least three years to gain practical knowledge. Many dignitaries were present at the event, including Dr. Smita Suryawanshi, Ajay Harale, Rujuta Pathak, Laxman Torgale, Kisan Kale, Prof. Shiva Shishovia, Prof. Daksha Deshmukh, Dnyaneshwar Landge, Padmataai Bhosale, Vitthal Kalbhor, Shantaram Garde, Harshvardhan Patil, Narendra Landge, Ajinkya Kalbhor, and Dr. Girish Desai.
