The Pimpri-Chinchwad Municipal Corporation (PCMC) has taken action against an unauthorised RCC construction in Prabhat Nagar, Pimple Gurav. The structure, located in Ward No. 29 within the jurisdiction of the 'D' Ward Office, covered an area of approximately 432 square metres. The action was carried out on Tuesday, October 6, 2026, as reported by Punekar News. According to Shabnam News, the demolition was conducted under the guidance of Municipal Commissioner Dr. Vijay Suryawanshi.
The operation involved PCMC staff, 5 labourers, 15 personnel from the Maharashtra Security Force, and 3 police officers. Equipment used for the demolition included 1 jaw crusher, 2 JCB machines, and 1 tractor-mounted breaker. Dr. Vijay Suryawanshi has appealed to citizens to obtain necessary permissions before commencing construction to ensure planned urban development. The Commissioner also stated that action against unauthorised constructions will continue.
Those involved in the operation included Executive Engineer Atul Patil, Deputy Engineer Ashwini Gaikwad, Junior Engineers Vikas Warbhuvane, Sachin Phadtare, Rupak Shingare, Shivani Bhagat, Beat Inspector Trupti Sandbhor, and other staff from the 'D' Ward Office.
