According to Punekar News, Danyar Hussain's student visa and residential permit expired on January 31, 2026. It was also revealed that he had been absent from college since January 2026. A team from the Pimpri-Chinchwad Police's Anti-Terrorism Branch (ATB) and Baner police apprehended him from Pebbles Urbania Society in Siddharthnagar, Baner Budruk. Property owners providing accommodation to foreign nationals are mandated to register them with the Foreigners Registration Office (FRO) by submitting a C-form.

Deportation proceedings for Danyar Hussain are currently underway. Police Sub-Inspector Vikas Raut and Police Constable Dhiraj Patil of the Anti-Terrorism Branch played a crucial role in this operation, Punekar News stated.
