An auto-rickshaw driver was allegedly attacked and injured outside Roxy Hotel near Ambedkar Chowk in Pimpri. A case has been registered against two persons at Pimpri Police Station in connection with the incident.
Maheraj Hakim Shaikh, 26, a resident of Pimpri, has filed a complaint in the matter.
According to police, the incident took place at around 9:30 pm on September 27 when two accused arrived near Ambedkar Chowk in an auto-rickshaw.
The complainant has alleged that the accused assaulted him with kicks and punches following an earlier dispute. They also allegedly abused him and attacked him on the head with a knife, leaving him injured.
A case was registered on September 28, and Pimpri Police are carrying out further investigation.
