Pimpri-Chinchwad Municipal Corporation (PCMC) Commissioner Dr. Vijay Suryawanshi has directed that seizure action be taken against major defaulting properties within the civic limits after September 30. This is also the deadline to avail a 4% concession in the general tax for online payments.

During a review meeting of the Taxation and Tax Collection Department, the Commissioner reviewed tax recovery, arrears, the assessment of new properties, and pending cases. He directed that seizure action be initiated against properties with massive tax arrears after September 30.

Instructions have been given to prioritize action against industrial, non-residential, mixed-use, and other major defaulting properties. Additional Commissioner Trupti Sandbhor, Deputy Commissioner Sachin Pawar, and department officials were present at the meeting.

The municipal corporation stated that property tax amounting to Rs 592 crore 74 lakh has been collected so far.
