Various issues related to the city's development were discussed during the Smart City board of directors meeting. In the same meeting, City Engineer Manoj Sethiya was selected for the vacant post of Joint Chief Executive Officer.
The position had fallen vacant following the resignation of former city engineer Makarand Nikam.
The meeting was attended by Municipal Commissioner Dr Vijay Suryawanshi, ruling party leader Prashant Shitole, opposition leader Bhausaheb Bhoir, PMPML Managing Director Mahesh Awhad, directors Pradeep Bhargava and Yashwant Bhave, along with other officials.
Confidence was expressed during the meeting that this appointment will provide further momentum to the ongoing Smart City project works in the city.
